Orientation Information

CRST Dedicated Services has invited you to orientation, welcome to the CRST Dedicated team. You probably have a lot of questions. We’ve included some important information here. But, if don’t find the information you need,  contact your recruiter or anyone on the staff for more information.

Now that you’re on getting on board with CRST Dedicated Services, your first step is going through our orientation process.

Orientation is an important step, even for experienced drivers. It will help you get to know the company, policies, procedures, how to get paid, etc. It is your time to become acquainted with the team and for us to get to know you. Take full advantage of a this process as it will build the foundation for a long and prosperous stay with our organization.

Your orientation will consist of 2-2.5 days of time here with the CRST Dedicated Services staff and will start every Tuesday at the Cedar Rapids, IA location.

We will provide a convenient mode of transportation to get you here and provide excellent accommodations during your stay.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all made available each day during orientation as well as transportation to and from the hotel.

 

Please prepare before you head this way to get started.

You must have the following important documents with you upon arrival:

  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License. If you have a vision restriction you must bring a pair of prescription glasses or sunglasses
  • Valid Social Security Card. Original and in good condition, no copies!
  • Acceptable immigration documentation, if you are not a U.S. citizen
  • Any employment documentation required to complete the CRST Dedicated driver application.
    • These include: unemployment records, tax forms for self-employment, notarized letters, etc.
  • A voided check for transfer to your bank accounts.
    • If you do not have a voided check you may use a letter from your bank on bank letterhead that contains the name of the account holder, account number and the bank routing number.
  • You must have your current medical card in your possession
    • The medical card you bring must be the current physical for which you have registered with your home state.

Personal items you should bring include:

  • 5-7 days of clothes including jeans, sweats, short- and long-sleeve shirts, coat, winter clothing if necessary
  • Work boots or treaded hiking shoes. Sandals, flip flops, cowboy boots, and smooth-bottom shoes are not allowed
  • Work gloves
  • Sunglasses
  • Battery-powered alarm clock
  • Flashlight
  • Your personal toiletries needed for your time in the truck.
  • Bedding for the truck including sleeping bag, pillows, blankets, twin size sheets
  • Notebook, pen, etc.
  • Medications if you are currently taking any
  • Money for your personal items while here on site.  All drivers are provided breakfast, lunch and dinner
